I ...NOT so "Sirius Visitor in Manhattan"! I went in search of your latest book at the B&N on Fifth. I was directed to a section called "DREAMS" (what? they do have such a section?) then she changed her mind and pointed out a table. The table was marked "Humorous, Helpful & Odd"! Your book was beside two entitled "What's your poo telling you?" and "Plato & a Platypus Walk into a bar..." Had a GOOD LAUGH. Realized that none of this was accident, and that I should just let it go and wait for the next chance... even if your calendar says no more Manhattan until maybe 2010. Working on constellations now with one of the kids, and when I saw SIRIUS, I said "Big Dog!" Methinks will run into Big Black Dog sooner than I think!Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12104209130530454223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-925549664214256461.post-73548897030826518722009-02-23T20:54:00.000-05:002009-02-23T20:54:00.000-05:00Robert, With the black hat and the photo just a bi...Robert, With the black hat and the photo just a bit off center and on the move, I feel a mystery coming on. I was reminded that the map is not the territory when I got the platform and heard a battery of announcements of changes due to construction over the public address system. I let a Q train go by, although everyone else boarded, because I had been told (based on the shredded map) to take the N or the R line. A minute after the train rolled on, the announcement came "The Q line is running on the N line..."Robert Mosshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09231870716685877709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-925549664214256461.post-54582978404761309742009-02-23T16:49:00.000-05:002009-02-23T16:49:00.000-05:00Robert, what a series of true adventures! Thanks f...Robert, what a series of true adventures! Thanks for your lively account of life in Manhattan. Those subway maps are extremely rare. The "information" booths never have them. The last time I was there, a helpful woman on the subway gave her map to me. It was, as you described, in tatters and shreds. I taped it together and kept it as the treasure map it is.

Woof!Robynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05686225018981818216noreply@blogger.com
